Foreign nationals who are working illegally in our country for various reasons!
You are being given the opportunity to legalize your documents by June 10.
For example, if you entered Kyrgyzstan on a student or tourist visa and are currently employed — you may change your visa status to a work visa by June 10 without any penalties or fines.
According to our data, some foreign nationals entered the country as students or tourists, but have taken jobs in sectors such as delivery, tailoring, construction, and others. There are also cases where individuals entered on a work visa but failed to renew it in time. This is a chance for such individuals to bring their status into compliance with the law.
To do so, you need to go to one of the offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to obtain a certificate of no criminal record in Kyrgyzstan.
With this certificate you should apply to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to update your visa.
The official website for electronic visa applications is: www.evisa.e-gov.kg
We also remind all foreign nationals that they are required to hold the appropriate documents in accordance with their legal status in the country (registration, visa, and other necessary documentation).
Important notice for employers hiring foreign nationals:
Whether you are hiring tailors, construction workers, couriers, or other staff — it is essential to ensure your employees have legal status in Kyrgyzstan.
It does not matter whether you employ 10 or 100 people — the previous regulation that limited foreign workers to 20% of the workforce is no longer in effect. There are no restrictions on the number of foreign workers you may hire.
The key requirement is that all foreign employees must reside and work in Kyrgyzstan legally.
As stated above: if someone is working while holding a student or tourist visa, or if their work visa has expired — they must urgently bring their documentation into compliance.
Please inform them that they have until June 10 to do so. Keep in mind that employers also hold responsibility for ensuring legal employment.
Starting June 11, inspections will begin. Foreign nationals found to be staying in the country illegally will be deported, that is, removed from the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
